Based on the website and the good reviews, we drove 30 minutes to hear that the really good food, such as roast venison and sauerbraten, etc. is only available for lunch. There is nothing to be read about it on the website, even if the landlady claims it. Leberkäse and bacon bread were delicious, but not what we had hoped for. The statement that they are sold out anyway and that there was no more deer is no consolation. What a shame

The inn, located a bit away from traffic and everyday noise, in the middle of an idyllic forest clearing, is a place to switch off and enjoy. The friendly hostess herself serves refreshing drinks and tasty dishes on the beautiful large terrace. The cuisine is Franconian, honest, regional. Generously measure the portions. Anyone who has found their way here will definitely keep this place in good memory.

If you don't like it so modern, this is the place for you, super idyllic location. A dream for children, mega delicious and very friendly. Even if we drive 130 kilometers we will definitely come back.

Very nice and quiet location

Excellent food. Despite total full Gaststube the service always Franconian hearty friendly and kept the overview. There is some waiting time for the food, but this is quite normal when freshly cooked and not just pre-cooked warmed up.

Class Tavern. Food was delicious. However not always open. Were there for the first of May. Even with lots of rush everything was kept in view and no one had to wait long. Very family-run operation in which even small guests are welcome.

Somewhat hidden, in the forest, very quiet in an idyllic location you will find the Waldgasthof. But to "search" is really worthwhile. We were the 1st time here and will definitely be back. The food was delicious, and the prices away by the bank. The service was very nice and also at full restaurant very fast and in a good mood. If you want to sit with children in the beer garden is also totally right here. Because children can move freely here. I can give 5 stars without hesitation.
